Home Beside the SeaA Poem by MachinaWriterA poem about keeping hope...I want to see the
world around me. I want to
understand. I want to feel what
I’ve never felt, -with my own two
hands. I want to carry the
stones, -that have been
thrown at me. I want to use them
as the foundation, -of my home beside
the sea. I want to cry, -without knowing
why. I want to fall, -so I can stand. I want to be stuck
inside the storm, -to break this
cover that I’ve worn. I want the troubles
and the heartache, -the pain and the
sorrow. Because only then
can I make, -the life I want
tomorrow. I need them to be
stronger, -so I can be strong
for you. So when the storms
are upon her, -I’ll know what I
should do. I’ll take her to
the home, -I built beside the
sea. Because I’ve always
known, -I’d have you there
with me. So I’ll suffer the
storm alone, -I’ll fight and I’ll
survive. Because I know when
I find her, -I’ll finally be
alive. © 2012 MachinaWriterAuthor's Note
