Heaven Would Be Hell

A poem...

The gates of St. Peter
Would tarnish, if fate came to tell
That I was meant to pass
And you were stuck in hell

The golden streets would crumble
-and fade away to dust
The clouds above would rumble
-and thunder would combust.

Lightning would fall with rain,
The angels would start to cry
Heaven would never be the same
If you weren't there when I die.

At the golden gates, my soul I would sell
This I'll shout true
Because Heaven would be Hell
If I were there without you.

Just another poem I wrote for my fiance. Wrote it kind of quickly, just as I woke up, so it kind of came out just as I typed it.

Your poems tend to be about two things- your past, and your fiance. Both are such strong topics, and even writing about the same things, you bring something new to the table with every piece.
