Stroke of resilienceA Poem by Mac. SAn old self-centered poem, but words I think alot of people with that stubborn stroke can relate to. (The important part is the last 4 lines.)
Why must I re-verse my words
Why must Time bring out my worst These questions All answered Those words Already said Despite an Icarus demise After a Promethean task Despite my wings clipped After a lightly-worn mask After a leap of faith After a now enlightened mask I'll stand smiling Bathing in falling honor I'll stand gleaming Bathing in fallen's blood For I made a promise Not long ago To show my own gods That their death was not my own But a rebirth And so I take their rose crested throne. ---- If you feel cheated in life, by the "gods", then let me give you some words to keep in mind. At one point that feeling of life being unfair turns into spite to the forces and "gods" that have taken away what you love. This healthy spite makes it so you would protect what you love from the unfairness of life. And at this point you will also realise If we are truly their children, then we must submit to the notion that children are meant to be better than their parents © 2017 Mac. SAuthor's Note
