Life is an Illusion

Life is an Illusion

A Poem by Hamish McIndlister

Only a fool believes in love.
It is only a raving lunatic
Believing that good things
Can ever come out of life.
A demented dreamer of rancid lies
With his head lost in the clouds,
Not even caring about the rain.
He believes that people are caring,
 But not remembering the pain.
Only a fool could ever believe
That there are souls who truly care.
These things are nothing but illusions.
Life is a dark tapestry
Created from blood, pain and confusion!
There are no bright days.
There are no good souls.
All is darkness.
