Once Upon a Zombie

Once Upon a Zombie

A Poem by Anita May

Once upon a day,
A man ate another.
Once upon a way,
He then ate his mother.
Once upon a lay,
She then ate her lover.
Slowly began the world,
To eat each other.
Slowly went the world,
Coming to its demise.
Slowly did the world,
Then begin to realize.
One by one,
They each had a thought.
One by one,
The disease, they caught.
Soon, though, they learned,
That they must be taught.
Soon they learned,
That nothing could be done.
Soon they learned,
That the time for action had come and gone.

Great concept, excellent execution, it flows really well (although you should probably get rid of some of the pauses in the last few verses). In fact it reminds me of the typical Victorian playground songs, considering how charming but ultimately disgusting the whole situation is. Well done!
