Second Chance on Love

It’s tough but not the end

If the parts of the frail heart
are ripped apart and torn
It becomes resilient to join the pieces
and not to mourn.

Getting out of an emotional tornado
is escaping toxicity.
With difficulty you succeed,
but, you’re no longer in love’s vicinity.

Giving love another shot you ask to yourself
how complex can that be for me?
It’s just swords stopping me at every step,
indicating it’s not meant to be.

Yet then, characterise the throbbing.
It’s just a hitch, painful in the moment.
Living without love equalises;
to an eternity of lone torment.

So, is it worth to give up?
dropping the chains and shield.
Harder than it sounds but,
with love you easily heal.

Love deserves a chance
afterall in the end it’s just us.
We make the best of each other,
trusting intimacy shouldn’t be a fuss.
