FriendzonedA Poem by Maanya AroraComplicated relationship poem
Been pretending it’s fine
Been accepting you aren’t mine Friends don’t know the taste of your lips and of your inner grace. Friends don’t know your scars that are present in forbidden parts. Friends don’t know the reason for that damned smile of yours Friends don’t know the frown & why you’re facing down. Friends don’t know what you’re thinking what tales you have been weaving. Friends don’t know the way your eyes speak the stories of your weak. Friends don’t know the way you smell of flowers or perhaps cigarettes Friends don’t know what you do under the misty night’s dew. Yet you say we’re just friends But tell me this ain’t the end. ~ burying my feelings Maanya ⚰️ © 2019 Maanya Arora |
