Gone.

Gone.

A Poem by Madeline Derujinsky

My heart is three months behind,
my body is in the present,
and my mind is 3 months ahead.
Flowing day by day the ghost of your presence walks down the hallway.
I try to you ignore.
You're fed up but I was crushed.
Guilty of hurting someone but continues to hurt.
I prayed for rain to wash away the hurt, the troubles between us two.
The rain isn't you, troubles stay and so does the hurt.
I give up, I've been holding on to something that never was and never will be.
Stop and build stamina cause I will be the one to win the war.
Heart, mind and body as one without two.
