Ah, conformity. In my own words, wanting to be like everyone else. Wanting to fit in.

Let me start off by saying that most people want to be liked. They want to be popular. And truly, a life as a "normal" teenager would probably be quiet pleasant. But it would be immensely dull. When you look back on your life, do you want to remember yourself as the kid who went along with the crowd, dressed like everyone else, and listened to the "popular" music? I sure wouldn't!

a person who is rejected (from society or home)

Personally, I think outcasts are people who are themselves. They are fine with being them. They don't put themselves in the "normal" box. I respect those people.

Being unique. Not feeling the need to fit a stereotype. Another this I don't see a lot of at my school. Most people just want to be popular. But others try to fit other stereotypes. I see all kinds of people try to fit every characteristic of an "emo" kid. Or a "jock". I have an idea! BE YOU! AND ONLY YOU! Listen to the kind of music YOU like. Dress how YOU like to.

I am different! I don't try to be "cool". I dress how I like to! I wear band tees
Of rock bands no ones heard of. I love ruffles and sweaters, girly things. Most girls at my school wear a name brand sweatshirt or tee shirt every day. Yeah, not my style. Most girls at my school have long, Rapunzel-like, stick straight hair. Well I have SHORT hair, really short! I don't try to act stupid or ditzy,
I take pride in my intelligence.
So try it! Be you, not what you think you should be. It's rewarding.

LOVE IT!!!!!! When school starts again.... old Darby is coming back... CRAZY!!!!! It lit a fire in my heart. Keep writing stuff like this. There's an Oscar Wilde quate that would go good with the rest:
