A man tries to live a normal life despite the fact that he sometimes turns into a sheepdog.

"

0:00:14 " Quiet Tibetan village, helicopter interrupts

0:01:19 " Inside Buddhist temple, dog meditates. Boy comes in, plays fetch with dog. Dog runs through village after ball

0:02:30 " Dog is captured by men in helicopter.

0:02:47 " Tim Allen walks out of house, confronts neighbor about dog. He says, “I hate dogs”

0:03:30 " Tim Allen argues with wife about family responsibilities. Tim Allen’s son comes in, talks about football

0:05:40 " Tim Allen in court. Afterwards answers press questions

0:07:12 " At Grant & Strictland. Boss says, “Have you unlocked the secret of the dog?”

0:08:42 " Weird animals in lab. Boss is upset experimental serum turns test subjects into dogs.

0:09:50 " Protest outside building. Low angle on Tim Allen as he hounds daughter. He is angry

0:11:19 " Back in lab. Assistants say, “Such a good dog, never give us any trouble.” Dog escapes. One assistant says, “It’s a trap.” Other assistant says, “Dogs don’t set traps.” It is hectic

0:12:15 " Dog continues escape. Tim Allen’s daughter breaks in. Finds dog. They escape in car. She names dog Shaggy

0:13:20 " Back in lab. “Go find dog.”

0:13:50 " Evening at house. Tim Allen forgets dinner.

0:14:50 " Dog bites Tim Allen. Mutated dog DNA in his blood.

0:15:27 " Dog taken away to pound

0:16:00 " Home office, arguing

0:17:50 " New day. Tim Allen wakes up at foot of bed, doggish. “I dreamt I chased dogs all day.” He sort of chases tail. He shakes dry after shower. Annoyed at noise from son’s headphones.

0:20:00 " Tim Allen dances. He licks coffee. Shocked reactions from family. Puts face in bowl.

0:21:50 " Tim Allen leaves house. Sniffs, then chases dog out of yard. Confronts neighbor in a rambling manner. Drives away and stares at dog while driving.

0:23:00 " Back in court, Tim Allen carries documents in his mouth. Confused reactions. Tim Allen growls.

0:25:11 " After some struggle, a recess is called. In bathroom Tim Allen licks himself. Confused at his behavior, he leaves courthouse.

0:26:24 " Tim Allen at pound. Growls at cat. Finds Shaggy in cage, says ominously, “You meant to bite me… What do you want?”

0:28:04 " Dog DNA in Tim Allen stirs again. Tim Allen to other dog, “What do you mean I’m an animal?” Tim Allen has turned into dog. Worker runs after him, he escapes.

0:29:28 " Worker yells, “Our dog wandered off!” Tim Allen as dog sees himself on TV display. Says, “I’m a dog.”

0:30:49 " Tim Allen home as dog. Kids mistake him for Shaggy. Tim Allen as dog says, “I’m not Shaggy, I’m dad.” Kids cannot understand.

0:32:25 " Tim Allen as dog attempts to communicate by using Scrabble letters. Kids mistake this as erratic behavior. Threaten to take him to pound. He calms down and abandons Scrabble plan.

0:34:00 " Tim Allen’s son takes him to dog park. They play fetch. As dog, Tim Allen overhears his son talking about his aversion to football and his inclination towards theater. Tim Allen isn’t supposed to know.

0:35:20 " Original dog is captured again. In the lab the assistants say menacingly, “you get cattle prod, I’ll get needle.”

0:35:55 " Family mistakenly thinks Tim Allen is not at dinner (he is still in dog form). He runs to his office and begins typing a message on the computer. He impressively puts on glasses, but to no benefit. They still think he is Shaggy.

0:38:07 " Tim Allen wakes up in garage as human. He has a red ball in his mouth. He sneaks into the house, but his wife wakes up. Thinking he just got in, she throws a pillow in his face.

0:40:07 " Tim Allen goes into elevator at courthouse. There is a K9 there. Owner says sit, both Tim Allen and dog sit. Owner is confused. Tim Allen has big dog tongue.

0:41:30 " Tim Allen again acts strangely in court. Defendant lists off mutations he saw in Grant & Strictland. Tim Allen becomes suspicious.

0:43:40 " At school, Tim Allen discusses son’s failing math grade with teacher. Because of his heightened dog senses, her eating distracts him. He imagines her eating in a gratuitous manner.

0:45:25 " Tim Allen sees cat outside classroom window. Wife says they live normal life. Bursting through bushes and interrupting people as they eat, Tim Allen (as human but on all fours) chases cat through town. He looks particularly menacing as he chases the cat onto private property. He then turns into dog as indicated by his reflection in puddle. He is captured

0:47:35 " In the lab, Robert Downey Jr. says a lot of technical science terms. When asked about FDA, he says, “Don’t worry about FDA”

0:48:40 " Football game, Tim Allen’s son does not do a good job. As a dog, Tim Allen sees this. Then scares off teasing players.

0:50:40 " It is revealed Tim Allen’s son is flunking math to get thrown off football team. Tim Allen as dog is disappointed, more at himself than at son.

0:51:30 " Back at home, Tim Allen as dog sees pamphlet his daughter designed. He is impressed, despite having taken opposition to her beliefs previously. Her friend says about the pamphlet, “Makes me want to get out there and do something about animal testing.” Throws ball, Tim Allen chases it out of room, then they close the door on him.

0:53:07 " Dinner date for anniversary. Tim Allen shows up as dog with flowers in his mouth. It is raining. His wife cries. She asks, “Is this how it ends.”

0:55:10 " She puts Tim Allen, believing he is Shaggy, in garage for the night. Tim Allen thinks, “I’m not a bad dog, but I’m a terrible man.” He wakes up as human.

0:56:20 " Tim Allen goes over to his boss’s house, who takes him off of court case.

0:57:10 " Tim Allen goes to Grant & Strictland. He pays homeless man to play fetch with him in hopes that it will activate his dog DNA and turn him into dog so he can fit in vents. This works on the second try. When initially the homeless man refuses, Tim Allen says, “Don’t make me bite you.”

0:59:30 " Tim Allen as dog finds lab. Robert Downey Jr. paralyzes boss. He does this so that he can take credit for science discovery.

1:01:30 " Robert Downey Jr. looks up and sees Tim Allen as dog in vent.

1:02:30 " Tim Allen’s wife wakes up, sees roses and pleasant note.

1:03:00 " Believing that Tim Allen didn’t come home, his kids think he and wife will get a divorce.

1:04:15 " Again, Tim Allen as dog knocks over Scrabble and begins communicating. This time he is successful. He spells out, “I am dad.” Kids finally understand. Tim Allen as dog assures son he is supportive of theater.

1:06:30 " Tim Allen as dog smells another dog on his lawn. Runs out to confront. Lab assistants are waiting. They shock him as he runs out door. Temporarily paralyzed, he is easily taken. Kids run after lab assistants.

1:07:20 " In lab. Robert Downey Jr. threatens to kill Tim Allen. Tim Allen bites Robert Downey Jr.’s hand, presumably spreading the mutated dog DNA. Tim Allen as dog but now has human eyes. Then he wills himself to transform back into human. He has control. Dog snake gets keys. All the lab animals escape.

1:13:30 " Kids mistake Shaggy as Tim Allen.

1:15:13 " Wife at work, kids bring Shaggy in to demonstrate that he is dad. They say, “He turned into a dog!” Shaggy cannot perform. Tim Allen calls wife while driving. The lab animals are with him. Other drivers stare.

1:18:30 " Run into traffic jam. Tim Allen gets out of car, begins running and turns into dog. Jumps off overpass and lands on bus. Bus takes him to courthouse.

1:20:15 " On court steps, Tim Allen changes into human. He is naked, but his family brought clothes. He puts them on, enters courtroom.

1:21:45 " Tim Allen puts Robert Downey Jr. on witness stand. Begins drilling him with questions. This is perceived as ridiculous and Tim Allen is escorted out. Tim Allen rushes back in. Having stolen the officer’s police baton, he throws it across the room. Robert Downey Jr. fetches it, then grows tail. Tim Allen no longer seems ridiculous.

1:26:30 " Victorious, Tim Allen walks out of court to be with family. Unexplainably, the lab animals are there with the car. Son says, “You made a great dog, dad. You’re going to make an even better dad.”

1:27:50 " The family is on vacation with Shaggy, who surfs. Tim Allen catches Frisbee in mouth.
