Missing YouA Poem by Morgan Yai
The days grow long without you here
I wish you were next to me I'd whisper in your ear "Oh how I love you" "I never want this to end" And maybe my dreams would still be true I remember, before you left me You were sure that this could last You and me could be we And I trusted you From that day until now I have been stuck to you like glue Sometimes I wish we had never met But when I think back I know It was for the best, yet I learned much from you When you left, I understood The things I never thought I knew You taught me to be confident You taught me to love myself Your love was evident But I no longer need you Contrary to my belief By myself, I could make it through
