BEATING BREATH

BEATING BREATH

A Poem by MYRETOUN
"

About pollution really and ageing

"

Let me see old age
the senile moment
the wistful eye
the epiphany of life
that thuds dull
on wish and want

a convoluted curse
separates us from
those who roam and roar

yet we have spoiled;
the rivers run with stench
the seas are full of filth
and global warming waits

where now creator?
shall man run his course
and so doing kill
his beating breath.

MYRETOUN,
"Beating Breath" is a true word to the fact that life is all about free will; the ability to make choices. You set the stage wonderfully with your line,:"Let me see old age, the senile moment. Then in our human imperfection: "A convoluted curse separates us from those who roam and roar. So much done and to much done: Yet we have spoiled' the rivers run with stench." The seas are full of filth." Perfect ending..........."shall man run his course and so doing kill his beating breath?" Down to your last line the very strand of beauty which is humanity; the ability to stand or fall..........well done for sure! Blessings to you. Kathy
