The First SnowA Poem by RiNNA<3THE FiRST SNOW. Inside the mahogany bricked house, A cup of steamy hot chocolate sits at the table Accompaied by an old lady. She sighs and sighs over and over again Letting her breath mix with the steam from the Hot chocolate. She continues to stare out the frosted glass window, Sometimes lost in thought, Sometimes in a daze.
She soon wakes up from Dozing off, To find her hot chocolate still accompaying her. Not a sip taken from it. No steam were circling upwards anymore, In it's place were little bits of frozen chocolate on top. She glances around, Eyes adjusting to her surroundings. She then abruptly looks out the window once again. To only meet with disappointment.
Tears fill her eyes, But stubborn she is, not willing to give in to Tears. She looks up towards the ceiling, Hoping the tears would subside. Some time passes and that's when, Out of the corner of her eye, She notices, A single drop of snow, circling down just to greet her. This time, she gives in to her tears And she cries and cries, Unable to stop For her wish was Fullfilled.
