steaming experiences like a sauna's stealing of my breath and Ole' Faithful faithful to erupt geysers of mess cover for miles with Chernoblyl radiation carrying after shocks that inspire the muse musings, music, amuses, bound in unturned pages unread stories a peace never found with eyes opened secured under lock and key complex diary, or field guide, maybe accompanied with a note of warning BEWARE love suppressed rendering locks useless ventricles glowing arteries veins illuminating love sedating minutes and hours, days and months, years and decades, passing by heedlessly aged infatuations matured admiration winds of time blow tumbleweeds through this desert station stranded and hanging like a leather mail pouch with undelivered love letter stuffing on a rustic lamp post posted at the edge of rotting wood platforms a temporary soapbox of my declarations love at first sight romance advances down one track mind whistles blow and travel is lazy lulling into Rip Van Winkle sleep the click clack tapping resonates eardrums kept to the ground subtle alarm of the L's rhythm moves to the beat of an exhale finality one last hoorah and one last kiss a death clasp of dark fingers fading into apparitions of an angel posing in a black sun dress accentuating the beauty of crimson rose gardens © 2009 M Walser |
