The endA Poem by Michelle MackenzieA bad dream or a prophecy of the end?The End
My eyes start to close, Sleep comes to me, Off to a far away land, Drifting off to sea.
The clouds gather like a storm, The colours start to merge above, I begin to dream of fear, I begin to fear of losing love.
I open my eyes, I feel disheartened and cold, Standing in a feild, Armed and standing bold.
I held a dagger in my grip, A dress as red as blood could be, Then Im back in a boat, Drifting out to sea.
I could feel the dagger, It's heavy in my hand, Like holding two bags of sugar, Standing as if I was in command.
So I drift off to sea, Being thrown with each wave, I am all alone, With no one left to save.
The end of the world, My legs feel like lead, I wake up gasping, Back in my bed. © 2010 Michelle Mackenzie |
