Peace at last

Peace at last

A Poem by Michelle Mackenzie
"

silence is golden.

"

Peace at last

It's been a long day,

My back is sore,

Wondering just a bit,

What was I stabbed in the back for?

I'm fully aware of this bitter rhyme,

It's not my fault I have to say,

The stresses of my life,

Have made me this way.

After all the crying,

The endless screams,

The baby goes to bed,

aah sweet dreams.

Stop what ur doing,

Listen as a car drive past,

Then all there is, is silence,

I have some peace at last.
