New Birth

New Birth

A Poem by Marianne Rose
"

Longing for all the joys of nature without the fear that plagues humanity.

"
To see the playful dolphins ride a wave of open sea
And feel the salt air in my face clearing away the city
To ride a wild black horse so fast down a sandy beach
Then rest beneath a newborn tree with leaves around my feet

To see a gentle river flow, get lost inside a dream
And wake to birdsong in the dawn that call me to be free
To climb a snowy mountain peak without the fear of falling
And feel the power of such heights instill a noble calling

To see the wisdom of the giant redwoods as their child
Breathe in their strength and pledge to a new spirit of the wild
To keep my heart in Heaven and stay rooted to the earth
And listen only to the sounds that herald this new birth

All this and more I long for before it's time to leave
Until I do, I trust to you, my cherished inner dreams.

This is poetry in motion. Glad, I came across this one.
New birth is all we long for and wish for. There's many a times in life, we want a second chance to live our lives in a different way, be open to those moments that we missed the last time around. This write so beautifully captures that longing. As they say, Nature is a great healer and so are these beautiful thoughts. Thanks for sharing this wonderful write, Marianne!

A very thought provoking write... Your words paints a vivid imagery about the dreams that so many of our hearts long for, the feeling of natural beauty around us and to experience them without any fear is an amazing experience... The third stanza is filled with wise and graceful thoughts and it is my favorite part in the poem... A lovely write...

Sincerely
Dhiman
