Social ButterflyA Poem by KidAnthony
She stands five feet tall with the wings of an angel
Hiding behind her horns and fangs, is a halo With eyes of smooth obsidian, And a mind like black ice, She's a combination more dangerous than any lover's tryst. Social Butterfly, You'll steal my soul away. Even prayers from above, Sent by denizens from below, Won't save me from your chaos, As its entrancing sound grows. The dichotomy of your love keeps reeling me back, But the monotony of our dance is what put the song off track. Social Butterfly, You'll eventually break my heart. You're a mirage of principality. With only two reigning above in your cosmic sexuality, As we indulge in sins meant for the mortal flesh, Our breathing gains weight with each secret cares. Social Butterfly, You're no where to be found. No sooner did we end did your halo disappear, And in its place your horns grew, Under the weight of your fears. With a demonic roar, you beat your feathered wings, And disappeared into the sky, A realm unseen. Social Butterfly, All memories fade with time, But I'll cherish the feather always, When your heart aligned with mine.
