Mortal Instruments

Mortal Instruments

A Poem by KidAnthony

You know not what you seek,
Nor the crop you sow,
But in time you will learn the errors in both.
You speak with false wisdom,
Act wit h false courage,
And fight with false strength,
All of which's memories will fade.
Come to me,
Mortal instrument.
I will play you a tune.
Soundless, thought it may be,
It will lead to your doom.
Follow the Pied Piper down a spiraled winding trail,
But the devil's in the fine print,
A most startling detail.
Dance for me,
Mortal Instrument,
The the rhythm,
Lose your soul,
Let the flame of chaos burn,
Like feet on hot coals.
Stay with me,
Mortal Instrument,
In the intimate caress of sin,
On the knife's edge of love and hate,
Dig the blade deeper in.
Weep for me,
Mortal Instrument,
For my ends have become frayed,
I danced in the light of a false image,
It was my own sould I betrayed.
