Eloquence In IgnoranceA Poem by KidAnthonyWith trembling faith, I allow her to take me. She brings me into depths the likes of which I've never known Darkness swirls before me,with the ever present feeling of impending doom Yet I hold her tight as we make our way through the madness of emotion and chaos, Resurfacing on the long forgotten shores of Eden. With her, I am home. She smiles at me as we make our way to the tree, I look upon her in wonder and bedazzlement, Her Mocha skin and dark brown hair, Eyes that burned with the underestimated intensity of smoldering embers Yet a touch of passion that would make a statue weak in the knees Through pursed lips, the voice of angel escaped: "Take a bite, and you will experience a life of wisdom. A life of wisdom I can show you through a seed." I stared at the apple in her hands, then back at her Once again, I became mystified by her beauty. I took the apple, I held it to my mouth, And I took a bite. The juices of the apple flowed into my mouth with tastes I only dreamed of My mind was swept up in the cool current of sweetness as I closed my eyes, Allowing myself to be carried off into uncharted islands amid virgin sunsets. The stunning look of...what were they called..? Colors? The different hues and shades overwhelmed me as I looked on in awe. And as though on cue, A dark wind swept over me. A voice of venomous anger, yet stern understanding roared in my ears: "Because of her guile, you have now learned the secrets of your world. You know not the power you wield, but you shall come to." It chilled me, I was afraid. Suddenly, from the recedes of my mind, I return to the tree, Eden, and Her. She looks expectantly "What did you see? what did you hear? What did you learn?" I looked at her and blinked, as if I expected her to transform into a gruesome creature. Yet, even with knowledge, her beauty prevailed. "Your cunning has brought me into a world unseen, but not unheard. You have yet to see the best I have to offer." Her eyes began to blaze, as though challenging my words. She grabbed another fruit from the tree, teasingly caressing it in her hands. I looked her in the eyes, my passion matching her's "Don't bite the apple Eve."
