Ignorance is breaking me

A poem about...well...someone I love really much but who never seems to care about what's happening beside himself.

When you’re around I feel special

When you’re there I am whole

I was happy at the initial

To make you happy is my goal.

 

But now look at me while I’m writing

You’re somewhere else with someone else

Not even remembering while your memory melts

Not even noticing that I gave up trying.

 

Because you broke me and my heart

Because no longer I can fight this hard

Seeing you with her is purest pain

And I wonder what I did for it to gain?

 

You are about to leave my side

Though you never even belonged to me

But still I wonder why you can’t see 

That my feelings are true downright.

 

Are you blind or is it me

Who misinterprets what’s going on?

What did I wrong? 

Or is it in the end, that we’re just not meant to be?

Yeah, I know it is bad grammar at some points but I think you could call this the freedom of the writer or something.
