first impulse chapter of the Reality of Life. read it.

Dear Journal. 

No, never mind. This is public. 

Dear world, 

Who is responsible for what happens in my life? Because really that person needs to lay off. Seriously. Cut me some slack will you? I mean all I can see is DRAMA. That's the one thing I don't need in my life right now. How can so many things go wrong in one day? What have I done wrong?

So basically, this is me. Every. Single. Day. 

You know what I think life is? I think life is a puzzle. One that takes your whole life to figure out. And guess what else, it changes. Constantly. 

Usually, you won't figure it out. Ever. 

Everyone takes life for granted. Even me. Every day we live our lives without even a thought to how amazing it is to be on this Earth and be able to make a change. Now I'm not trying to preach or anything, but what would happen if everyone just took a minute or two of their day and thought about how grateful they should be for just living and making it through one day? 

It could change lives.

Seriously if we didn't get so caught up in our own drama we would notice the crisis that is playing on the TV nine o'clock news. 

We would notice the poor man sitting on the sidewalk begging for a few coins, probably only to buy some alcohol, but that's not the point. 

What things go on around us without notice? 

How many kids have divorced parents and are having to choose between them?

How many people have thought about suicide?

How many people how struggled to make ends meet? 

But maybe that isn't important to the popular girl who's the head cheerleader.

Maybe that isn't important to the rich old guy who drives fancy cars.

Maybe that isn't important to me.

The reality is the important stuff isn't always that important to us. The truth is we get caught up in our own drama all the time and there is no way around it. Really nobody can always care about the stuff that should be important to us, because we have our own stuff to deal with. 

That's the reality.
