For Sarah

For Sarah

A Poem by M. Patrick Watson
"

For a young lady I miss so much, love you carebear.

"

For Sarah

My blonde, blue eyed baby

so young yet so wise

There is nothing so sweet

as the smile in your eyes

Your giggles are music

from heaven above

I sit here and marvel

that it's me that you love

My precious sweet angel

In my arms you'll be warm

I'll battle the ogres

to keep you from harm

Protect you and love you

with all that I am

You deserve something good

just this once from a man

If daddy you call me

then daddy I'll be

And even if not

still, daddy is me.

Patrick I couldn't help reading your description on the side. It made me laugh not sure if intended but it came out funny. I can't wait for you to get into hairy situations. Having just posted m daughters first painting not difficult for me to relate to the snetiments shared here. In fact some of them could have just as well by mine.

They grow so fast though from little princess to little....

Thankyou

This is nice. Life gives us moments like this when our heart just fills and bursts - you captured that AND it is always with you and, I have no doubt, also with her :) Love comes from the most unexpected places sometimes. Good one

Seems a tribute to your daughter --- and the playfulness in the words...as one reads this verse...as if your away form home and giving this testament before her...I have become a daddy to a daughter myself just a little over 3 weeks and this is touching...
