On Sorrow and GriefA Poem by yuheeWhen death unexpectedly took the one you love away from you
She did not cry nor wail
All she did was to smile Before she said her final goodbye But the facade soon broke When her father is now six feet underfoot Tears trail the contour of her cheeks But her forlorn smile still remained Despite I'm at her side, I did not talk I let her engulf the silence she deserve Then she asked how to move on When everytime she closes her eyes It's her father's beaming face flashed in her mind My smile didn't reach my ears Don't try, I slowly talked Let time do that tiring trick Don't rush to heal your wound when it's still bleed Just continue to smile as what your father said Live your life in content like what he did She nodded and started praying For her dearest father who finally found peace © 2017 yuheeAuthor's Note
