A Poem by MOON

Furnish the room with ink and paper

and the bound smell of love

between the lines , artists with words

 penned in velvet covered glove

walk in dreams of past lives,

 follow the flight

 of a white angel  dove

In words I shall find you humming

 heartfelt, kingdoms from  above

Furnish my heart with a book of song

Written in azure ink

Let me find its gold and silver

thread let me find its  mink

In your sorrows and moments of bliss

let me from your cup drink

Furnish my life with a pen crafters art

Let the chains unlink

So many great lines and you bring out so many aspects of why the written word means so much. Love
"the bound smell of love
between the lines"

and

"In your sorrows and moments of bliss
let me from your cup drink"

Isn't that what breaks the chains - feeling we are not alone?

I always said poetry is art, great job

Beautifully descriptive! A book is a time travel machine, transporting us back to another place and time - living, loving and crying in the writer's mind.

The description is beautiful! Of course so is the title, which pulled me here. The font is twisted, which creates this wonderfully dizzying effect for me. Your words, they are so wonderful! The golds, the silvers, the azures...Ugh, beautiful! Great work as always :)

yoh. A lot of fun stuff in here. I didn't realize it was going to be a rhyme scheme poem. I really would think it was more awesome if it didn't rhyme. Even cutting out large chunks of it...

"Furnish the room with ink and paper/ and the bound smell of love" is a sentence that unfold into itself.

Followed by "Between the lines, artists with words penned in velvet" works for me. Then it's like COVERED GLOVE???

I like... penned in velvet walk in dreams of past lives, follow the flight of a white dove. The mind still holds onto the love end rhyme trust me. The thing about rhyming, also, is that it connects two words in our mind. Dove and love work, but what is so romantic or velvety about a glove?

For the most part, it doesn't seem forced in its rhyme scheme. Lines like: velvet covered glove, white angel dove, let me from your cup drink and let the chains unlink just because, for me, un-link doesn't seem that poetic and beyond that I don't know if unlinking is important to this poem. Couldn't it end the line before?

IN DEPTH REVIEW.

This is a great piece of writing in various ways: the use of words, the scheme...
I'm really into this line:"furnish my heart with a book of song"
