Old Man RiverA Poem by MOONSometimes I glimpse your face in the pink tinged dawn It’s of love and grace and nothing to mourn Sometimes the tears bruise my heart And I am torn apart Sometimes I wake in the silence of the night Every word you spoke alight Sometimes I wonder how it is And where we find release From the coldness of death How do we waken from our bed? Sometimes I know love continues to grow Even after the grim reaper sows Sometimes all I need is a word A hundred lifetimes for your voice to be heard Sometimes I hear you tiptoe in my soul And for a moment I find the broken pieces, I am whole. © 2012 MOONFeatured Review
