Shredded Cabbage

Shredded Cabbage

A Poem by MOON

Goodbye my dear friend

I will see you at the arc of time

Maybe at the end

we will speak of poetry so fine

With words we ascend

reading above and between the line

You would mull commend

of words metre and finding the rhyme

Johnny be good mature like a fine red wine

Johnny be good your words are one of a kind

Johnny be good your words will someday soon shine

Johnny be good master class polish the mind

Dear John F let the words flow let it unwind

Write poetry like science was to Einstein

Beautiful Moon, so touching, sometimes is it so hard to lose someone, because you felt so close or good with that one, other wise, new doors open, and positivism can grow into a new chapter... Your wisdom shows, how to capture true love in letting go, and freedom...

Wonderful work, keep on penning...

E.L.

I like the title you clearly think highly of who you wrote this about. I mostly think that this poem is sweet although you could improve on how you structured it.

I like the poem. The title puzzles me. I like cabbage though :) lol

Ha ha ha...the title drew me in. What did it have to do with your poem? Perhaps nothing...but that's not the point..you got me to read you. And besides...you might be serving some shredded cabbage with that red win...yes...no? lol

Great rhyming. I actually undestand the concept of shredded cabbage in relation to the poem, as you cut it up into little pieces that make a salad...

I have to agree the tittle of the poem doesn't seem relative to the content of the poem to me. I do like the poem and the rhyme scheme of the poem. This was a well written poem.

Hey! I like how you used such fine diction in your poem, even though it looks so simple. Everything flows smoothly and it's definitely well-written. As the previous users have said, it's an unfortunate thing to lose a friend, and this is a good tribute to the one you lost.

I agree I have made no connection whatsoever with the title, but I'm guessing your friend would know about it.

Anyway, this was a great read.

Keep writing!

How sad to be losing a friend. You have written a wonderful tribute to him. I, too, don't understand the title, but suspect it might be an inside joke between the two of you. Hoping your friend comes back to join you again someday.

This is quite catchy and stretches the mind from Johnny B to Einstein. what a pair they would have made.
