Earth Mother

Earth Mother

A Poem by MOON
"

To all the nurturers out there.

"

In the morn she would be weaving delicate tales

In the furthest flung sorrow soothing wounds that ails

Fly high your golden ocean flags bring in the whales

Nurturing the dewdrops of heaven she unveils

Every secret chamber of your heart, ship sails

Should you slip and slide she erects silver steel rails

Touching minds and souls forever she never fails

Paradise lies at the feet of thy mother, holy grails

I could simply repeat some of the other reviews, but I won't. While the lines of rhymes and tales of whales are easy to read; understanding fails. My simple mind cannot grasp the tail you unveil. (I do like the ending word of each line) My notion is that you're speaking mostly of ocean, with a Gaea-like Mother Earth alluding to a human mother's nurturing and guiding their offspring. Maybe I DID get it!

Mom has been crying a lot of tears lately... seems some people just never learn.

Nurturing the dewdrops of heaven she unveils...NICE!

These words read like a fine tapestry. Perfectly executed, a mind trip worth taking again and again. I can almost here the background music to this...Enyas sail away sail away. x

Beautiful poem. I especially loved the rhyming it added another quality to the poem. Mother's love is the first example of the purest love we will ever know. While others are tainted by various actions and events a mother's love is always there. Great poem

mother is the source of real love. mother is the only one who loves without waiting for any return. mother is the only person who likes her kids to live better life than hers. and as you said, paradise is under the feet of mothers. great moral poem. i love it

This is lovely and brings so many wonderful images to mind! It reminds me that all loves great and small are endlessly worthy.

Wonderfully told, as always. I really do feel like a broken record saying that, but unless your standards take a serious nosedive, then wonderful it shall be :-)

One of the best I've read from you. Perfect rhymes with such a nice flow of thoughts and sentiments for mother earth.

Great work.
