Anger

Anger

A Poem by MOON

So the silence rages in your head,

You believe all love is dead.

Diets of bitter seeds fed,

This is life this is where you have fled.

Around you on eggshells we tread

Lofty promises and laughter shred

Blackened you have taken to your bed.

Opening old wounds and the past long dead.

Here I come with glowing smiles all clad.

You bite your lip, you believe you led,

To the undoing, love crimson red.

Still to the demons of your mind you are wed.

I agree with Angelink, I think that last line is the most powerful and thus my favourite. I like that it takes the struggle with this emotion in to the spiritual realm, as well as having it displayed out in the world and within oneself. Very good write.

"Still to the demons of your mind you are wed."
Hard to release the demons. Can blind us till time and luck can make us unafraid again. I like the story in the poem. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poem.

Anger kills, tis the most powerful of weapons and here you say so with a call so strong we can feel it seeping out of every line. Memorable.

'Diets of bitter seeds fed, ~ ~ This is life this is where you have fled.' those words are near frightening.

The ordering of words used go to make a great composition of work here I think, this piece is written with real feeling and meaning. The bitterness has a real substance to it, like the black cloud of an awkward atmosphere. I like this, great writing.

What a brilliant vision of anger's seeds... those dark, painful gardens that grow from them... How we hurt ourselves and all others when we are blinded by its enchantments. Powerful poem.

Anger has so many faces all leading to the same bitterness that can often eat you alive. Nice depiction here. Well written poem.
