Kismet

Kismet

A Poem by MOON

Kismet

Dawn did not come by accident; it did not come by the sleight of a hand

It rose and flowered over with grace and presence, it was grand

So above and so below, where in the world will you all stand

When its face is darkened by the sorrows of the land

Days I remember sweet as a kiss

Left its fragrance and all I would wish

Sun-rays and morning harvest

Now you have gone and carved it

Into nights black and on the brink

Chains that bind in icy link

Once golden now all of rust

This all anger and lust

Goodbye my friend there are no

Stories to be told

You are in the cold

 Grow

dearest Moon... I see you in the Sky when day is done.
Your presence is reassuring... your smile is comforting.
Your first verse is awesome... as I often see the Dawn with
tender shades of rose and lavender. We will face the sorrows of the land...
with thoughts of Kismet and a golden strand where hope is all that
remains... as we grow. truly, Pat

And you be safe also... dear Moon
Gently, Pat
What a powerfully beautiful, aching sigh of a song. There is such a fierce blending of joy and sorrow, and light being pulled deep into the darkest spaces.

Beauty and sorrow
are all around New
beginnings as life
ends and a new one
is born again.

Such beautiful
Powerful piece

"Chains that bind in icy link"
The ink in my blood grew icy at this one...
Tremendously carrying write...
All i would wish is growing cold by all the anger and lust as it forms the rust between us...
just incredible...
Keep writing!

Very much welcome
Hi Moon:) this started out so so pretty and sweet and slowly turned to sadness and retreat:( kismet kisses painted so nicely here! This is kind of an apropos poem coming from “the moon” moon gives light on dark nights but is also cold and masters the tides and torrents

Your poem takes me on a heart journey . . . first bright & filled with the essence of a new beginning, then quickly dashed, as so many bright beginnings often end up. The trajectory of this uplifting, then crash, it feels realistic, well paced, just like life. You can kinda see it coming, but then again, it surprises you when the crash does arrive. I love the last word. Very thought-provoking (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

in first line -- "sleigh of hand" . . . usually written "sleight of hand"

Oops will change , thanks for review , much appreciated.
dawn promises new life, new love, new truth...
but sometimes we just look for shadows, we think we shine in the dark and we let dark thoughts rule us.
we are not aware of the beauty when dawn strikes...
we live in the past...
but yes, we can grow from the cold...if only we would let ourselves do that.
so philosophical here....you give us much to ponder...
a really strong write,
j.
