Precious

Precious

A Poem by MOON

Precious is the diamond in the rough
You were my world , you my love
In the darkest hours I always see
A glimmer of light that allowed me to be

The best in the heart of day
 The future that within lay
The promise of the dawning hours
The hope that within flowers

A testament to your gentle soul
You moulded pieces made it whole
Said there is more you can be
If you allow your mind to be free

Find the voice that within lay
Sing the harmony in your own play
Never doubt you are the one to beat
All your fears you alone defeat

 A lullaby yours alone
You don't have to pick at a bone
You are the promise you want to be
Unchain yourself you will be free

Love does not bind nor does it hold
 Instead all you are unfolds
 The warmth of another's love
Raises you to the heavens above

Find your peace in the mercy of you
You are a grain of sand you are the worldview

me too, MOON....my best friend....she was such a gentle, loving soul....had problems with alcohol...fell asleep smoking...fire got enough of her...she lasted a week...but that was it...
she is now an angel looking down and looking after me..
i feel in the mercy of her.
she is free...

and your write is magnificent.

Thank you Jacob , will stop by soon.
Your poem reminds me of a best friend (RIP) of mine . . . he helped me see myself & life in a better way. Even tho he's been gone 4 years, I still often think of the things he taught me to boost my self-esteem & change the direction of my life. Your poem has a slight melancholy tone which leads me to feel it may be written about a situation that's in the past or no longer accessible . . . I feel some longing . . . your message is very palpable (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

thank you so much
There is something so painfully beautiful here. The story seems so personal, so intimate, and yet so vast... I was pulled into the core of the world... the peace... the pain. Wanting the lullaby to always play softly over the earth.

A perceptive, lyrical and, frankly, brilliant ode to someone clearly special.
Gratifying read, dear Moon.
