MotherA Poem by MOON
Paradise lies at the feet of thy mother You were wonderfully rare like no other All love and humour and oh so wise Your spirit embraces and never dies The essence your allure The complexity that was you You were the sunlit morning dew The fiery autumn in all its hue I kneel at your feet I hold you In esteem in the court of the few I embrace the soul ahead of your time I am so honoured mother of mine You were a flower in crimson light A rare butterfly in flight You are the moon and the sun Mischievous and so much of fun I see you in everything So free and on the wing
