A Poem by MOON

Rhett

Maybe I will waken in the morning maybe I won't
You became the reason for my promised dawn
I was always counting the days lined with gold
Never once thinking it could oh so quickly fold

Standing and waiting for the time to be right
Always focusing on some future light
Till the present ran out and became the past
Death was a shadow waiting in the wings to be cast

Maybe I will waken in the morning maybe I won't
There is just too many days left for me to mourn
I always saw us together someday growing old
Now all my seasons are lined in freezing cold

Maybe I will waken in the morning maybe I won't
You taught me love was never to be owned

Heart-breaker, mystical Moon.
Painfully portrayed melancholy--requiring profound insight.
A powerful piece, good poetess!

Alas we can't and death is so final...thank you take care
Your sad words pull at the heartstrings, and yet, so beautifully written.

I understand and you are welcome.
A very touching poem... we must love wholeheartedly everyday and express it unedited because we never know when our last breath is coming.

MOON,
Is this a memorial? You have shared vulnerably the preciousness of the love that humanity long for and not all are able to acquire. "love never to be owned" your closing words speak volumes. We have and give for the simple gift it is. Thankyou so much Blessings Kathy

You thought my love was never to be owned....wraps erything together so tightly. There are too many days...I wish things were wrapped that tightly...always a gamble...always an unknown...it is beautifully sad.

Your words flow like music, a song of the soul, moving through the seasons of light and darkness, hovering over us. Freedom often comes with such a price.
