Eternal

Eternal

A Poem by MOON

Pack up the pieces of my heart

Brown leather suitcases apart

Wind blowing changes rattles the bones

Undressed here I stand all alone

On this journey what awaits me

Some things they say will never be

You won’t listen foot on the stair

Run away all too hard to bear

Then I see your face yet again

In love where we all stand

Grace the siren song of this soul

Beauty here I am here I’m whole

There was never just you and I

Love’s forever it does not die

"On this journey what awaits me"

These words, I am sure catch anybody's attention. When we stop and look at things, this is the ultimate reality. Yet, the journey goes on...

I read a poem a little while ago that was very similar to this. It had a very playful verses and then delivered on that great ending couplet. I am glad you have not left MOON.

Thanks Pax for stopping by. Keep well dear friend.
Sigh, so beautifully romantic......the longing is evident, the outcome is hopeful with words that true love never dies! And the image is absolutely perfect with the twisting round the trees.

Really well written romantic piece. Lovely rhythm. I feel an angst, over something lost and waiting to be retrieved.

Love may sting when cut, the string. Yet memory fadeth not, nor sweet embraces come to naught.
