Return To Me

Return To Me

A Poem by MOON

Return to me in love and dreams of what can be

Tell me all your hopes hung out on the line

Did I not once fly on wings or was I blind

Return and let me know what it is you feel

Return sketch winter leaves in shades of green

Tell me love is the song and on the world we dine

You are the purest crystal surely I can find.

On fresh air and hopes and ambience we lean

Return to me and I will forever believe

That you were the one so gracious and so fine

Return to me it’s everything and I won’t mind

Let me forget the spider’s web you once weaved.

Welcome. Moon.....:)))))
That last line strikes me hard! Brings in a flood of my memories.
Such a beautiful piece...almost dreamy...and I love the line:
"Did I not once fly on wings or was I blind"
This is so true to the thoughts and feelings when a relationship is ending, or even has ended long ago, and we have not yet quite let the "what if" go.
So beautiful!

I have enjoyed it so much! A rather rainy day here and I have lingered long...time has escaped me.
Many creative phrases to show us the feelings of waiting with open arms, but not putting yourself fully "on hold", just being hopeful & realistic while holding on to this little wish in one's heart. I think we've all had this experience, where someone goes away, but we never lose hope that we'll meet again some day. A favorite phrase: "hopes hung out on the line" . . . also good word crafting: "On fresh air and hopes and ambience we lean" . . . the ending is optimistic, wanting to set aside the tangle of spiderwebs, & keeping this missing person on a pedestal. Not sure if most people could actually do this!

All fine thanks so much my dear friend.
The poem told a story of lost and hope. Real love is never forgotten.
"Return to me and I will forever believe
That you were the one so gracious and so fine
Return to me it’s everything and I won’t mind
Let me forget the spider’s web you once weaved."
We can weave goodbye and in the same second. Need a hello. I like the yearning and the need of the words. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

There is a price for everything, isn't there, Moon? Our choice is whether or not we want to pay that price. Love is the strongest allure. Very difficult to walk away because we know it can be sooo worth it...if only. What a beautiful way of say it, my dear poet :)
