Father

Father

A Poem by MOON

Always I see you in the morning sun

Then too I glimpse you when the day is done

Autumn leaves are a fiery pyre

You are the dawn splendour, you won’t die here

You are the wind whispering through the trees

You are the nesting sparrows in the eaves

You are the vibrant garden of flowers

You are the grace in my needy hours

When the spring buds hope on a given day

You are the fragrant promise  that  will stay

You the invisible waltz dancing free

You are all I am and will ever be

Someone being everything? Or everything seeming like someone? Or both?
Either way, this was a beautifully written poem about such a wonderful inspiration. I respected how you kept a rhyme scheme to dominate a great flow and thoroughly enjoyed the whole reading.
This one has a lot of symbolism and representation that's different from all perspectives, and no doubt it's a perfect one from mine.

"Autumn leaves are a fiery pyre
You are the dawn splendour, you won’t die here"
I love those two lines. As soon as unread them, my eyes just lit up with hope and attention. Just lovely written.
Great work, amazing write:)

This is so sweet! I wish I had written it because then I could give it to my father. I love him very much and I can tell from this you love your father with all your heart. Thank you,

All poems may not stand the test of time.
But,I am sure this epic piece will last through ages.
Which sentence I should choose as the most favorite!
All sentences have the same appeal and beauty.
Cheers for the daughter and the father.
I have a great lesson from this poem.

The only time I think it stumbles is in the first stanza, where the last two lines don't follow the rhyme scheme that's suggested by the first two. Other than that, I think it's a little touching and tender. Not bad.

It is filled with love and tenderness! Your descriptions and tribute to one so important in your life are beautiful!! Your last verse is especially touching to me!

Beautiful, simply beautiful. I'm not surprised it made the popular writing page at all.

What a cadence to Father. The blessing we inherit, the “I am” but a piece of thee…

Great Write!!!
