Darling

Darling

A Poem by MOON

Colours blend take on a different hue

Standing on a hill with a jaundiced view

I remember you were like morning dew

A dancer on stage an actor on cue

Tossing of a coin all shiny and new

A graceful eagle wingspan as it flew

So why was it that my love never grew

Darling I knew, you too good to be true

. oh, i know that feeling ... once upon a time i was dating someone who was always projecting himself as mr. perfect ... it was creepy ... he really seemed like "an actor on cue" ... was never spontaneous ... superbly written, my friend ...

This is perfect.

Simple yet powerful. In eight lines you spoke volumes more than many longer poems. The words didn't just speak, they danced. Wonderful job. 100/100

This short and simple but beautiful with beautiful rhyming...i like how you have portrayed the hand that yearns yet can't reach. It's a beautiful writing.

I love the word HuE very nice, also the feel of the poem, the longing, it grabs you and pulls you with every sentence. Like my love affair with Chocolate Cake

Wow, this is a true masterpeice. By far I think this is my favorite poem you've written. I like the longing in the words, the description of a wanted beauty in a spotlight, and yet the understanding that some things just aren't meant to be. I really love this piece!:)
