Darling

Darling

A Poem by MOON

Colours blend take on a different hue

Standing on a hill with a jaundiced view

I remember you were like morning dew

A dancer on stage an actor on cue

Tossing of a coin all shiny and new

A graceful eagle wingspan as it flew

So why was it that my love never grew

Darling I knew, you too good to be true

Awwww.... Nice and easy flow. It has a sweet melancholy feel to it....

So few people can make such a persistent rhyme scheme sound as professional and well-thought out as this. Usually the poem ends up sounding forced to fit the incessant ending, but this flowed with all natural grace. The sentiment bursts out of your words in dazzling auras and the flow reminds me of a peaceful wind... the sort that maneuvers effortlessly through the trees, something very distinct about it.

What I am trying to say is, yes yes very lovely! Thank you kindly for sharing this piece.

Moon, I sincerely appreciate how you use comparison to vibrants colors vs. the shade of jaundice. That is so brilliant. How true that too many shades mixed together just make mud. It can very much be like that in love...too good to be true.

Really lovely feel to this piece...the flow I mean...
You seem to relay imagery with ease and emotion dances around that :)

Honesty is always best expressed in poetry I think. I loved the imagery and then the last line was very telling. Not many can change who they are. You penned this well. Excellent work.

I take this as an image piece; what people see on the outside is not necessarily the reflection of the inside. We may admire a person, but that is not synonymous with love. You may like the leopard's print, but do you like the fangs and claws?
