Darling

Darling

A Poem by MOON

Colours blend take on a different hue

Standing on a hill with a jaundiced view

I remember you were like morning dew

A dancer on stage an actor on cue

Tossing of a coin all shiny and new

A graceful eagle wingspan as it flew

So why was it that my love never grew

Darling I knew, you too good to be true

The last two Lines sounded like the couplet of a Sonnet.
Too good rhyming scheme also, it made the piece more
attention drawer. Excellent piece, it is Moon!

Herein lies the honesty of a poet, one who sees the beauty and wonder, though realizes the tainted reality of the world... Brilliant form and wisely moving twist to keep us on our toes!

Beautiful, and honest, I feel SA here. through your words, it is amazing how you still honor this beautiful person, and are full of love, while wondering the same time, a gentle smooth, and excellent piece of work Moon, shine shine :)

The little voice inside new there was something wrong. I think we all have it, though some choose to ignore it as over reacting. When it's too good to be true...

Nice rhyming and a good take on an old story.

No small feat to have all the lines rhyme and do it well! That second line grabbed my interest right away and contrasted so well with what followed in the stanza. All was explained in your ending lines and all too often....well, it's true.

A distrust of something you obviously enjoyed but didn't believe in or really feel? I have enjoyed many I didn't trust, but still enjoyed for a while. Another wonderful portrait of your amazing pen :)

People are afraid sometimes of the perfect love, because at heart, maybe they don't feel they deserve it. It's weird but I can see how this could happen.

That last line indicates that it may have been you who were untrue.
Soaringly lovely poem; clouded or, perhaps enhanced, by obscurity.
Amazing offering!
