Fault-Line

Fault-Line

A Poem by Bark's Lounge

"

Never unattached

Wisdom cannot prevail

Open landscapes of chance

Statistics do not feel

Read your own headline

Molecules between

Sight falls just short

Tomorrow keeps to itself

Pulling apart

Groundwork fails

Pull the trigger

Slide into the sea

There are two halves

Atmosphere equal

It is the fault-line

That consumes the whole

It is the fault-line

That washes all away

No system of alert

Long dog day summers

Wants to build or burn

Chameleon does not show

When love sinks in

versus should subside

Never show your cracks

The wrecking ball waits

End from the start

If taught to believe

Only one certain

Me against me

There are two halves

Atmosphere equal

It is the fault-line

We must recognize

It is the fault-line

That is always wedged between
