I love You DaddyA Poem by MBARRYMON The love of a daughter for her father, and what her love means to himA second child is an extremely big deal, Parent’s know that when they start to squeal, And you know its not for a piece of cherry pie, That’s how they tell you what you have to do, They keep on telling of your fate that’s true.
Second daughters are such life-long Daddy’s Girls, In her mind she plots, under those beautiful curls, How she can twist him around her little bitty finger, He doesn’t care, his thoughts they joyfully linger, On so many plans, he has to call them her pearls.
Well, now-a-days, all those daughters have to rush, To get away on their own so they have to push, For a trike, then a bike, then maybe a motor cike, But what they really wanted was a really nice car, To hunt the country for that guy that they like.
I know life is not like chocolates in a box, And in truth a father knows he’s not a fox, He’s never sly enough to keep her at home, His love is not enough to fill up a huge tome, Of when she’s said (and that’s all that really matters), “I love you daddy.” “I do Love you so much”.© 2017 MBARRYM |
