Her

Her

A Poem by Morgan Purcell

Tonight my eyes will paint
Lavish landscapes
With your shoulders laying the foreground
To a backdrop of VanGogh's stars
Swirling amongst your gravitational beauty
For none compare
To the eternal rolling waves
Which lull my demons into a sweet purr
Silencing all self-doubt
Renewing life with your every exhalation
Undoubtedly our souls were
Inseparably intertwined by love
In lifetimes long past
