Windows To My Soul

This is a poem I wrote in response to someone that once told me that my eyes reflect what's in my soul.

WINDOWS TO MY SOUL

 

 

You once told me the eyes were the windows to the soul.

Look into my eyes, what does my soul behold?

Can you see me standing there patiently waiting for you to receive?

Can you see me standing there in Faith for I do believe?

Can you see me standing there in Trust for it’s the only way?

Can you see me standing there on the path to our better day?

Can you see me standing there arms open? They are welcoming you.

Can you see me giving you my hand vowing a Love that’s True?

 

Look into the windows of my Soul there’s a reflection of you.
