Inspire HerA Poem by MylifeinheartbeatsA poem about losing inspiration and finding it again. Two decades ago, she was born life was beautiful and full of twists, turns, and changes the world was an inspiration, and she took notes on the beauty of it all
Two years ago she saw a picture of her worst nightmare hung in a gilded frame over the fireplace in her previous lovers' house while she was sorting through dusty boxes of old memories
Two months ago her life seemed to cave in a plethora of bad images attacked her mind and lucid dreaming never fixes the reality of life
Two weeks ago her heart melted at the edges lightening and changing color from scarlet to a vivid chartreuse this illness struck her like a heartbreak, and there was a reason for being blue this time
Two days ago there was a flutter and her entire demeanor changed as she finally found the journal she was looking for amid all the nonsense and rusty thoughts
Two hours ago she finished reading the journal laid back in the old reclining chair that had been her mother's and finally let a small, perfectly shaped tear run down her storm-weathered cheek
Two minutes ago she smiled fondly one last time before she decided to exhale all thoughts of the one she used to love and finally move on with her life, move on with her battle-hardened heart
Two seconds ago her eyes cleared, light shined through the window warmth flooded from her, as the cool, dark place in her heart finally receded and she reached out to seek the one that would inspire her once again... © 2012 MylifeinheartbeatsReviews
