A Flash and A BangA Story by MayaShort poetic story about fear of thunderstorms. It was a beautiful night, the stars filled the sky He thought there's no way it could storm tonight As he was tucked in, he looked up and grinned He had no idea there was a storm moving in It was two in the morning, and without any warning A flash and a bang! It was suddenly storming He tried and he tried to call mommy aside but he couldn't speak, he could only cry When mommy woke up, she tripped over the pup Running to comfort the boy that she loves She ran to his side, he was trying to hide Under the covers with tears in his eyes She comforted him, and then tucked him in and reassured him that the storm won't hurt him The next day he thought, he thought and he thought I shouldn't have cried, I should have fought The next time it comes, it'll be the one to hide under it's covers and call for it's mom
"A thundercake recipe! That sounds good to me!" I'll teach that storm to leave me be Mom came in the kitchen, her son, on a mission with a bowl and a whisk, and a sweet concoction What a mess he's made, it was all over the place He told his mommy "This will make it afraid!" His mom sat gracefully, and explained to him patiently The cause and effect of obtaining bravery "My son, I must admit, your fear is legit and many boys your age are afraid of it." "But one thing I know dear, you must be brave when it's near Because you'll never gain courage, if you never face fear.
