Chapter 4:Goodbye

Chapter 4:Goodbye

A Chapter by MICHAEL

Lisa was leaving. She had a chance to travel that summer with her work.
We were saying goodbye the night before, a last supper of sorts.
Spaghetti and chianti. We didn't talk much. She looked over at me.
"You don't want me to leave, do you?" I looked into her defiant green eyes.
Reached across and stroked her flowing red hair. We said goodbye.

Next morning I took her to the airport. We didn't linger long at the gate, no need.
I sat in the lounge for a while, sipping bloody mary's, looking out the window.

Ah, this had me intrigued. I wasn't sure if it was a flash fiction piece or part of something more. I checked and see what you've done. This one was really good. It could stand on its own as a little snippet inside somebody's life. Its sad, but not over stated and has utterly masculine feel to it. I went back and read the other chapters, before I commented on this one. I think you did good!

Your writing is very tight and interesting. Made me want to read more. I encourage you to write longer pieces. You're good at it! Good work!
