INDIFFERENCE

INDIFFERENCE

A Poem by MICHAEL

Time is a creaky wooden porch,

A white bearded smiling man,

Reaching forward,

Asking, "Why?"

A cacophony of drunken voices,

A soldier in a field of flowers.

The stars pay no attention
