VACATION ODYSSEY

VACATION ODYSSEY

A Poem by MICHAEL

On an Argos of the soul

through the pillars of Hercules

hell of a spot

Tugged on the shoulder of God

replied in silence

admissable evidence

Morning blushes

as if the sun were embarrased

to warm such an ingracious planet

Pink then peach

Mauve greys, November dawn

Sat in the bar

watched the multi-colored bottles

reflect in mirrored lights

Friends, or reflections of friends

around me

I slipped out the side door

Cold now, clear

Phase of the moon, half crest

Streets are littered

Trees stark, skeletal

Met my door half way
