LARK SPUR

LARK SPUR

A Poem by MICHAEL

Wonder what does it matter

When all comes to the same

Struggle to survive, struggle to maintain

Driven to continue, driven to remain

She curls around your conscience

Siren of the dark

Holds out the illusion

Curls around your heart

Enigma of existence

Crucial to the truth

I don't know the answer

I cannot hear the lark
