One Night Stand

One Night Stand

A Poem by Grey
"

Rush job of a poem

"
Don’t catch feelings, babe,
Because I never threw them your way.

Just let your hopes of us
Becoming more than what we are just fade away

Because if you don’t I’ll just disappoint you.
It’s in my nature, not to love you.

Physically,
I’ll be all you need.

Emotionally,
You’ll have to replace me.

I’ll be there tonight,
But I’ll always beat the morning light.

Don't try to find me,
I'll be where I need to be.

My place is not to hold you down,
If there isn't a bed around.

Relax, and let what we have be.
Stop, don't mess this up for me.

You should have known what this was in the beginning.
We do not get a happy fairy tale ending.

Just accept the fact that we will never be more than a late night rendezvous
and that I will never wake up to you.

I am a random, lazy writer. If I don't write it when I think it or when I'm in the mood it will never happen. I try. Aspiring to be a Journalist. Criticism is welcomed. It's not me, but I like it: .. more..
